JAKARTA-Yayasan Upaya Indonesia Damai or also known as United In Diversity (UID) on Monday (08/06) donated 50 thousand medical masks to the 'Gusdurian Peduli' movement that received by Annita Wahid in Jakarta. Fifty thousand masks were intended to be distributed to hospitals, medical workers, and the public in an effort to deal with the COVID-19 outbreak.

UID, a foundation that is co-founded by Gajah Tunggal Group, donated this mask as a form of care and support for efforts to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic. Donations to the Gusdurian Network and the 'Gusdurian Peduli' movement are part of the millions of medical masks that have been and will be distributed to the Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19, a number of local governments, the Indonesian Red Cross, TNI and Polri, as well as other community communities.

The President of UID, Mrs. Tuti Hadiputranto, expressed her respect to Gusdurian friends and the 'Gusdurian Peduli' movement which had been active in 60 cities in Indonesia is helping to overcome the threat of the pandemic COVID-19.

In the handover ceremony, Mrs. Hadiputranto also said that she welcomed the policies and steps being taken by the government towards a new normal order to live adapted to COVID-19. "Gajah Tunggal Group is ready to support the government, as well as the community communities, such as the Gusdurian Concern movement, to socialize and practice the new normal with new life behaviors that are safe from the transmission of the COVID-19 epidemic and other epidemics.

President Director of Gajah Tunggal, Mr. Sugeng Rahardjo said that his party welcomed the new normal record in the sense that productivity could still run while adapting safely from the COVID-19 threat.

Mr. Rahardjo looked optimistically that the synergy between the stakeholders, namely the civil apparatus and the security apparatus; all components of society; as well as the business world, the economic wheel which concerns the interests of the state and the public can move in an orderly, smooth and controlled manner in the new normal atmosphere.
