United In Diversity with Gajah Tunggal Group Support, Donates 300 Thousand Masks to Palang Merah Indonesia08 June 2020

JAKARTA-Yayasan Upaya Damai Indonesia or also known as United In Diversity (UID) once again distributed medical mask aid to face the COVID-19 pandemic. Tuesday afternoon (5/19), the foundation submitted a donation of 300 thousand medical masks to the Indonesian Red Cross Headquarters (PMI) which was received directly by PMI Chairperson M. Jusuf Kalla.

UID, the foundation which is fully supported by Gajah Tunggal Group, distributed these donations as a form of support to the government, institutions, organizations, and community components, as well as stakeholders involved in handling Covid-19. Previously, UID had handed over medical mask donations to BNPB (Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling Covid-19) and to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.

Mrs. Tuti Hadiputranto, President of UID, expressed her appreciation to the PMI and Regional Headquarters and thousands of volunteers who had shown their determination to participate in preventing the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak. "The donation of medical masks is a form of UID and Gajah Tunggal Group's concern to take PMI to take preventative measures to spread the epidemic," she said at the mask handover ceremony at PMI Headquarters, Jakarta.

PT Gajah Tunggal's President Director, Mr. Sugeng Rahardjo, said that the donation of this mask was a form of social solidarity in handling COVID-19. "We are providing assistance not only to the central and regional governments but also to stakeholders, including PMI, who are actively fighting against COVID-19." "We believe that by building together with all components of the nation, namely the government, civil society, and businessmen, in the current conditions of social restrictions, will strengthen the determination to accelerate the outbreak of COVID-19. May this contribution be a form of strengthening social solidarity in participating in overcoming the coronavirus pandemic in Indonesia.
