Co-CLASS IIoT: Convening stakeholders for Indonesia's new age of data30 August 2018

In August UID collaborated with the Ministry of Communication and Informatics and also Tsinghua University in China to organize a Co-CLASS batch under the theme Industrial Internet of Things (Co-CLASS IIoT). Co-CLASS IIoT accommodated 40 participants, originating from 11 ministries and agencies, 4 businesses and 4 educational institutes—completing the tri-sector participation that UID always seeks to engage.

Co-CLASS IIoT took off late August, with the pilot workshop taking place on the 30th-31st of August 2018 and was divided into 5 sessions where the participants graduated on December 10th 2018. A total of 5 prototypes were showcased during the graduation session. Minister of Communication and Informatics, Rudiantara, expressed his delight that the program was able to give birth to new ideas and prototypes developed by the participants. Minister Rudiantara also took the time to deliver his remarks, and expressed his intention to organize 3 more batches of Co-CLASS with the Ministry of Communication and Informatics— which is planned in 2019.

It is a great honor for UID to be entrusted to organize more batches, opening up endless potential for future collaborations.
