Happiness Festival: Celebrating three ways to society's happiness01 April 2018

In March UID celebrated what it means to be happy through the 2018 Happiness Festival. Happiness Festival 2018 represents UID’s active participation to introduce the message of sustainability and inspire the public to adopt a sustainable lifestyle. Held at Taman Menteng, Jakarta, from March 31st – April 1st 2018, Happiness Festival 2018 showcased the goals and accomplishments that we have achieved in our pursuit to fulfill the 17 SDGs. More than 73 speakers and talents took to the stage, involving 15 social media influencers in collaboration with 34 communities and covered by 84 media outlets. Happiness Festival successfully attracted a crowd of 5500 people from varying backgrounds to come together and celebrate three ways to happiness—or what we call the SDG Pyramid.

Happiness Festival is about celebrating happiness for all in an inclusive manner, 1st April 2018

Moreover, Happiness Festival ensured that it was not just a celebration, but also a way to build awareness on sustainable ways of living. Waste management was carefully planned and every single waste produced was measured and necessary steps were taken to establish an event that produces the minimal waste possible. Even our 36 tenants also took part in minimizing waste production.

Happiness Festival will be back in 2019 to spread even more happiness!
