U.LabX: Activating young transformational leaders of Southeast Asia01 March 2018

Looking back to the start of the year, UID’s journey of 2018 began in February with U.LabX, where UID’s very own team of a facilitators co-led a series of weekly learning processes based on Otto Scharmer’s Theory-U. The activity of U.LabX took place weekly on Wednesdays from 14th February 2018 until 21st March 2018 live at @america—the United States of America’s cultural center—and also broadcasted live to 5 American Corners, or AmCors.

The five AmCors are: @america Jakarta, Universitas Airlangga in Surabaya, Universitas Muhammadiyah in Malang, Universitas Islam Negeri in Jakarta, Universitas Muhammadiyah in Yogyakarta and Universitas Andalas in Padang; all broadcasted live through Zoom as well as through YSEALI’s Facebook fanpage.

Most participants were students from each respective American Corners as well as participants from the general public. With the help of YSEALI Theory U Camp alumni, UID was also able to deliver the learning process through different regions across Indonesia such as Bali, Pangkalan Bun and Buton where the alumni acted as hubs to set up their own sessions utilizing the prerecorded materials.

YSEALI alumni acted as hubs and helped set up sessions in different regions such as Pangkalan Bun, Central Kalimantan 14th March 2018.
