UID led the rebuilding of a village for 300 families in Sirombu. Through Harvard connection we partnered with Prince Albert of Monaco Asia Society, jointly with Indonesia YCAB foundation, Nias community and local government, UID led the rebuilding of a village for 300 families in Sirombu.
The Sirombu rebuilding project became the first success of home relocation for the tsunami villagers despite limited funding and resources. UID won recognition from the President of the Republic of Indonesia and from Prince Albert of Monaco with the naming of a Monaco village.
