JAKARTA – Yayasan Upaya Indonesia Damai or also known as United in Diversity (UID) on Friday (05/15) presented a donation of 500,000 medical masks to the Provincial Government of the Special Capital Region of Jakarta which was received directly by the Governor of DKI Jakarta Mr. Anies Baswedan. The delivery of donations took place at City Hall, Medan Merdeka Selatan, Jakarta.
UID, the foundation which is fully supported by Gajah Tunggal Group, distributed these donations as a form of support and concern for efforts to accelerate the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. The 500,000 masks are intended to be distributed to hospitals, medical workers, and the people who need them.
Mrs. Tuti Hadiputranto, UID President, in her presentation at the City Hall expressed her highest gratitude and appreciation to the government of Indonesia in general, and the Government of DKI Jakarta in particular, as well as all those who had put forth their best efforts to continuously overcome the COVID-19 pandemic.
Also, Mr. Sugeng Rahardjo, President Director of PT Gajah Tunggal, said that the distribution of CSR through UID, particularly in providing mask assistance to accelerate the handling of COVID-19, was a gesture of concern from Gajah Tunggal Group in a joint effort to deal with the coronavirus pandemic. Hopefully, through the cooperation of all stakeholders, Indonesia can overcome this pandemic.
