Welcome Remarks by Cherie MK Nursalim
A warm welcome to Your Highness Prince Albert and our honourable guests from Monaco and also appreciation for our dear friends and UID partners for this Monaco-Asia occasion!
I learned from Prince Albert's speech in a European summit recently on the issues of race, minority and religion.
I felt pleased that in this small gathering we have representation from Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, India, China and Australia. It is a true Monaco-Asia Society and United in Diversity collaboration!
Delasiga Cinta Anak Bangsa in Indonesian language represents a bridging of love toward the children of the earth, and I think there is no other project more touching than Monaco adopting the village in Sirombu in the remote island of Nias in North Sumatra.
We look forward to inviting Your Highness and guests of Monaco to come and see the Monaco complex in Sirombu village. And we'd just like to
express our heart-felt appreciation by presenting a plaque to the prince and Monaco-Asia Society.
Allow me to read what on the plague:
"Devastation Descends as Waves of Tsunami
and Earthquakes upon North Sumatra,

Distant from All and Nearest the Epicenter is
